1 tbsp garlic powder

1 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp sesame seeds

4 green onions, finely chopped

1 pear, grated

1-inch ginger, grated

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp sesame oil

1/4 cup rice vinegar

Method

PREPARING THE RIBS

  • Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 150°C (300°F).

  • Prepare the Ribs: Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the thin membrane on the back of the ribs for more tender meat.

  • Season the Ribs: Rub the olive oil onto the ribs, then season them with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Ensure the ribs are evenly coated with the seasoning.

GRILLING THE RIBS

  • Preheat the Grill: About 15 minutes before the ribs are done in the oven, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  • Grill the Ribs: Carefully remove the ribs from the oven and unwrap them. Place the ribs on the preheated grill and generously brush them with the Korean BBQ sauce. Grill the ribs for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more sauce, until they develop a beautiful, caramelised crust.
